As musicians, they want the legacy to be passed down to the generation of musicians coming up just as it had been passed to them. As one member put it, “We are only borrowing our seat in the orchestra for a time…The end of the orchestra would mean the end of to that continuity which has been nourished and cherished for over 70 years.”
